Trend-Setting

As you all know, the major media players tend to look to this blog to see what’s hot and what’s not so it should come as no surprise that the Grauniad is now running a little series in praise of Tommy Boy.

Part One

Ignore the little fact that the first of that series is dated two days before the emergence of this blog. They already knew what I was thinking. It is still zeitgeitistical plagiarism.

Here’s a teaser quote:

GK Chesterton described him as “a huge heavy bull of a man, fat and slow and quiet, very mild and magnanimous but not very sociable”.

I just want to point out the GKC had never met the man so he’s being a little bit uncharitable. Here is Tommy Boy in better days:
